Buy a Macbook for school

Here's a little bit of useful information for those planning on going on to higher education come September. Buy a Mac, why? I'll tell you why, apple has a sweet rebate deal on now for Macbooks and other Mac computers, buy a Mac and get an ipod touch for free after mail in rebate.( mind you only the smallest 8gig version is covered by the rebate, the 16 and 32 gig will cost more) but still a $259.00 rebate is pretty slick and on top of all that apple's new Bootcamp software you be able to run windows on it anyway. but more on that later.

Facebook for work?`

These days most employers are trying as hard as they can to prevent employees from using social networking sites. But recently I have used it for the benefit of the firm, we had a client who had moved away then back again but had no way of contacting them when they needed work done, one quick search on facebook, and bam we're in contact of course it wont work all the time, say for instance a guy named John Smith, but it is something to think about before banning it all together from you workplace.

Twitter has worms!

Twitter had a worm! get some pills. Actually no but the Teen who unleashed this worm on Twitter could be in big trouble. Micheal Mooney, the creator of the worm programmed it in such away that is would send message so other twitter accounts all the while advertising his own twittersque web site. Apparently he's not big on subtlety. Or maybe he didn't think it would get that big. But when you go attacking one of the fastest growing web sites on the net today your going to get noticed.

The Local radio station FM96 has been experiencing some "interference" this morning, but don't worry if you look at your calendar you'll see what day it is and realize its an April fools day joke. So don't get too concerned, have a good day and don't be too gullible today!

Canada won't be pushed around when it comes to the artic

In an article posted on cbc.ca, Canada claims they wont be pushed around by anyone whenit comes to laying claim to the arctic. Interest in claiming the thawing sea is becoming a major issue as countries are trying lay claim to one of the last largely untouched deposits of fossil fuels. Furthermore with the ice melting shipping in the region is also becoming much easier to access by boat. Although it mentions that Russia is puting together an army for the purpose, Canada military has been putting arctic patrols throught the region for quite some time now. Rest assured Canada will not be caught with its pants down when it comes to arctic sovereignty. 

Acer Aspire one

What can't I say about this sweet computer for $399.00 you can't go wrong. The battery last forever and its small enough to take with you pretty much anywhere. Its beyond me how they manage to jam 160 gigs of HD space in it but thats alot of music, although I would plug it into other speakers if I were you the built in ones are sub par at best, although for a car trip or bus you'll be using headphones anyways so that wont be a problem. I purchased mine at TigerDirect it worked out to bed 470.00 with taxes and shipping, all within two business days. If you dont mind not having a CD drive and want wireless portability to the the max then this little machine its what your looking for

Virus Scans People!!

I think maybe I should goto my my friends houses, kick down there doors and forcibly install AVG antivirus on there computers. I mean i dont consider my self an "In shape guy" but on the other hand I do not need to know Billy and Sally got those sweet new Oprah Winfrey strength weight loss pills! and then find when you click on the link in msn window that pops up, all the lovely spyware and viruses that begin downloading themselves to my computer. My lesson of the day is USE PROTECTION!
